PALM DESERT (Calif.) - Websites 2000, a Web site development company, will merge with McLaughlin Marketing & Communications, LLC to create a new innovative full-service web marketing company, it was announced today by Kate Spates, Managing Partner and Founder of Websites 2000.
The newly formed company will focus on providing a complete range of Web site development services including design, maintenance, custom programming, hosting & search engine marketing. In addition, the firm will expand its services to provide advertising, branding, strategic planning, graphic design, public relations and marketing programs.
Spates said she and veteran marketing executive Michelle McLaughlin, Principal and Founder of McLaughlin Marketing & Communications LLC, will launch their new company Jan. 1 2006.
"The amount of business done on the Internet is so significant that marketing firms are realizing the importance of partnering or joining with a firm dedicated to Internet services, Spates said. McLaughlin noted that "the national industry trend is strongly moving towards these types of mergers. WebSites 2000 and McLaughlin Marketing & Communications are two forward-thinking companies who see the advantage to such an arrangement.'' Since 1996, WebSites 2000 has focused on providing excellent customer service to clients worldwide. They have been honored in Sacramento by Assembly member John Benoit, R-Palm Desert, with the "2005 Small Business of the Year" award for the 64th District in California. Spates has 20 years combined experience in the hospitality industry and the Web site design process. Her dedication to customer service and community service is shown through the company's involvement with such organizations as United Way of the Desert, Habitat for Humanity of the Coachella Valley and Building Horizons.
McLaughlin established her firm in 1995. Her professional marketing credentials include key appointments for several internationally known professional sporting events including the PGA Championship, Nabisco Dinah Shore, The Skins Game, The World Series of Golf, Indy 500 and promotion of Indy stars Mario Andretti, Johnny Rutherford and Al Unser.
In addition, McLaughlin has served local clients such as Miramonte Resort, City of Indian Wells, Heritage Palms Golf Club, Desert Horizons Country Club, City of Murrieta, Open System Imaging, Desert Estates Network, Elite Land Tours, SottoPelle, and Westin Mission Hills Resort.
