 PALM DESERT (Calif.) - WebSites 2000, a local full service Web site development company is celebrating its eighth year in business by giving one of their loyal clients a free year's worth of Web site hosting.
Bruce Clark, owner of Clark's Travel Center in Indio, was chosen from WebSites 2000's many clients for the celebration gift. WebSites 2000 recently redesigned Clark's Travel Center's Web site to celebrate historic Route 99 in Indio.
"They have always done a fantastic job designing and updating our Web site and we receive many compliments on it. As a result we have always been happy to refer other clients to them knowing that they will receive the same careful attention to their needs as we have experienced." Clark said.
"We are so excited to celebrate eight years in business, we have seen Internet companies come and go in the desert and we have managed to grow along side our successful clients," said Managing Partner Kate Spates.
WebSites 2000 also received accolades from Wendy Flint, director of College of the Desert's Center for Training and Development. "We cannot imagine working with any other Web design support company. We have multiple education programs on our site. Each individual program manager can contact the staff at WebSites 2000 at any time to make updates or changes and we always get immediate, positive, and personal customer support. WebSites 2000 is my 'Web master' and a critical part of the success of our organization."
WebSites 2000 was started in 1996 with the acquisition of WebOriginals, an Ohio-based company. In 1999 Stacy Thetford joined the team as director of sales and operations, followed by Jan Diaz, director of Web services and Jozelle Zamora, Web production assistant. WebSites 2000 has grown to manage over 140 Web sites worldwide.
"Since joining WebSites 2000, we have increased our local market share by 45 percent and I would attribute most of that increase from networking in the community through the various chambers of commerce" Thetford said.
Added Spates: "We develop everything from very small informational sites to very elaborate business to business applications. The key to successful Web sites is keeping graphics clean, fast-loading with simple navigation and always being user-friendly."
Among its many clients, WebSites 2000 has created and managed Web sites for several local Chambers of Commerce: Palm Desert www.pdcc.org: Rancho Mirage www.ranchomirage.org; and they are currently redesigning Palm Springs' www.pschamber.org.
